This Privacy Policy explains what data the Discord bot CustomVC ("Bot") processes when used inside Discord.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies only to the use of the Bot within Discord servers.

It does not cover Discord itself. Discord is a separate service and processes data under its own privacy policy.

2. Data We Process

To provide Bot features, CustomVC may process and store:

  • Discord user IDs
  • Discord server IDs
  • Discord channel IDs
  • role and ownership data related to managed voice channels
  • channel settings such as visibility, lock state, bitrate, user limit, region, and video quality
  • moderation-related lists such as whitelist, mute, ban, and moderator entries for managed channels
  • timestamps needed for channel management features
  • limited technical error data needed for debugging and service stability

3. How the Data Is Used

The data is used only to operate the Bot inside Discord, including:

  • creating and managing temporary voice channels
  • assigning ownership and moderator controls
  • applying channel access and moderation settings
  • keeping the Bot functional, secure, and stable

4. What We Do Not Intend to Store

Based on the current Bot functionality, the Bot is not intended to permanently store:

  • voice content or recordings
  • regular chat message content
  • email addresses, payment data, or real names unless separately provided outside the Bot

5. Storage

Bot data may be stored locally or on the system used to host the Bot for as long as needed to operate its features, maintain stability, or resolve abuse or technical issues.

Data related to managed temporary channels may be removed when those channels are deleted or no longer managed.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data.

Data may be processed through:

  • Discord, because the Bot runs on Discord
  • the hosting provider or infrastructure used to run the Bot
  • the Bot operator or authorized administrators for maintenance and support

7. Your Rights

If applicable under your local law, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data related to you.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Bot after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
